If you’re new to Evangel or just wanting to learn more about us, Starting Point is the place for you! In Starting Point we meet as a smaller group with just a few members from our team and we take time to hear your story as well as share what we feel God has called us to do in our community. We also give you some practical ways you can get connected through family ministries, Groups, and Serving.

We have prayerful expectations of all the great and mighty things the Lord will do in 2026! However, we know that certain breakthroughs will only come about by way of prayer and fasting. Fasting is difficult. It requires us to fight against our own cravings and rely on God for strength. However, the blessings of fasting are infinite and far outweigh the difficulties. We ask you to commit, as a body of believers, to pray and fast on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in 2026. Our next day of prayer & fasting will be Tuesday, February 10th at 12P.

We are committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus through Maps Local! On Saturday, February 7th teams from Evangel will tackle household repairs, maintenance, and building projects that can be completed in about half a day. Each Maps | Local project will aim to serve widows, single mothers, elderly, and others in need in our community through small projects like building accessibility ramps and bathrooms, minor home repair, and yard work like removing small trees and shrubs. Most projects will be able to be completed in under 4 hours and on some projects, the whole family can be involved.

If you've lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you've probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. We not only care, we're here to help you on your journey toward recovery. Our next Grief Share group begins on Wednesday, January 14th at 6:30P in Shaver's Hall.

Christmas Toy Shop at the fam closet; serves foster, adoptive and preventative care families in Columbus and surrounding areas. Families will receive toys, clothing, and hygiene items for each of the children in their home ages 0-18. After shopping, gifts will be wrapped and sent home with the family.

Financial Peace University is a personal finance course designed to help individuals and families take control of their money, eliminate debt, build wealth, and achieve financial stability. This nine-week program combines practical teaching with actionable steps, guiding participants through topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, and giving. FPU equips participants with the knowledge and tools needed to make wise financial decisions and attain lasting financial peace.

The cost of the materials is $40 which will be reimbursed if you complete the class. Payment can be made at evangel.live with the selection non-credit and LG curriculum.
