Serve Columbus is an opportunity for Evangel to make a real impact in our city by stepping beyond our walls and serving our community for its good and God’s glory.
On May 2, our entire church will come together as one unified serve team—heading out across Columbus to complete projects in three key areas: our local schools, care facilities, and MAPS | Local.

Starting Point
If you’re new to Evangel or just wanting to learn more about us, Starting Point is the place for you! In Starting Point we meet as a smaller group with just a few members from our team and we take time to hear your story as well as share what we feel God has called us to do in our community. We also give you some practical ways you can get connected through family ministries, Groups, and Serving.

Mothers Day at Evangel
Celebrate Mother’s Day with us at Evangel as we honor the incredible women in our lives! We’ll have an amazing time of worship, hear an encouraging message from our Youth Pastor, Pastor Sarah Nell, and have the opportunity to connect with some other ladies. Make sure to also drop by our photo booth and take a picture with mom! We can’t wait to celebrate with you on May 10th at 8:30A, 10A, or 11:30A!
Prayer & Fasting
We have prayerful expectations of all the great and mighty things the Lord will do in 2026! However, we know that certain breakthroughs will only come about by way of prayer and fasting. Fasting is difficult. It requires us to fight against our own cravings and rely on God for strength. However, the blessings of fasting are infinite and far outweigh the difficulties. We ask you to commit, as a body of believers, to pray and fast on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in 2026. Our next day of prayer & fasting will be Tuesday, May 12th at 12P.
YA | Beach Retreat
Young Adults Beach Retreat | Memorial Day Weekend | May 22–25 | PCB

You are invited to join us in Eugene, Oregon where a church and parsonage burned down in the Cascades mountain fire in 2020. We will be doing finish work at all stages including trim, landscape, paint, flooring, fixture installation and more! Carpenters, electrical, plumbing, painters, general labor and unskilled are all welcomed to serve with us!

On February 22nd at 5P Pastor Paul invites you to join us at Evangel Church for our Annual Celebration Service. This is a time for our church membership, where we will reflect on 2025, elect new board members, and look forward with great expectation over what the Lord will continue to do in our community through Evangel in 2026! Maps | Local
We are committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus through Maps Local! On Saturday, February 7th teams from Evangel will tackle household repairs, maintenance, and building projects that can be completed in about half a day. Each Maps | Local project will aim to serve widows, single mothers, elderly, and others in need in our community through small projects like building accessibility ramps and bathrooms, minor home repair, and yard work like removing small trees and shrubs. Most projects will be able to be completed in under 4 hours and on some projects, the whole family can be involved.

Grief Share
If you've lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you've probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. We not only care, we're here to help you on your journey toward recovery. Our next Grief Share group begins on Wednesday, January 14th at 6:30P in Shaver's Hall.

Fam Closet Christmas Outreach
Christmas Toy Shop at the fam closet; serves foster, adoptive and preventative care families in Columbus and surrounding areas. Families will receive toys, clothing, and hygiene items for each of the children in their home ages 0-18. After shopping, gifts will be wrapped and sent home with the family.

This Christmas, we’d love your help to make our Fam Closet Christmas Outreach a special experience for families in need. You can serve by helping us transform our space into a festive winter wonderland or by volunteering at our toy shop to assist parents as they pick out gifts for their children. Your time and heart will help bring joy and hope to families this holiday season.

The Meet Up | On The Road
This October, step away from the busy and into something better—a weekend of fresh air, fall colors, and Spirit-filled connection at Tallulah Gorge. Join us for a child-free getaway designed for young adults to rest, recharge, and go deeper with God and each other. Maps Trip | Allentown, PA
On October 2-5 our church will be traveling to an intercity A/G church in Allentown Pennsylvania! We will be turning a former sanctuary into a Community Center. We will be sending a team of 30 men both skilled and laborers. This trip will fill up quick so don’t hesitate to reserve your spot!
This trip will cost $395.
Includes flight, lodging, breakfast, lunch, and luggage transfer.
*Due to sleeping arrangements, this will be a mens only trip.

Financial Peace University
Financial Peace University is a personal finance course designed to help individuals and families take control of their money, eliminate debt, build wealth, and achieve financial stability. This nine-week program combines practical teaching with actionable steps, guiding participants through topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, and giving. FPU equips participants with the knowledge and tools needed to make wise financial decisions and attain lasting financial peace.
The cost of the materials is $40 which will be reimbursed if you complete the class. Payment can be made at evangel.live with the selection non-credit and LG curriculum.

eKIDS Summer Blast 2025
SUMMER BLAST is back at Evangel!
Get ready for four days of fun, faith, and sports at MEGA Sports Camp: Blaze a Trail edition! We will huddle up each day at 6:15P beginning Tuesday, June 17 - Thursday, June 19, 2025. All kids, ages 4 years through 11 yrs./5th grade, will enjoy exciting games, sports skills, and a pep rally worship time including a new Bible lesson each night—all in a high-energy, encouraging environment. Your young athlete will be ready to share all about their experience at our 8:15P check-out time. All of the hard work the kids have put in will pay off in our BIG game night at Calvary Christian School Sports Fields on Friday, June 20, 2025. Families are invited to join in on Friday’s fun.
LET THE GAMES BEGIN for only $10 per child. Your registration will cover the cost of food and a sports bottle each day so your child can stay fueled for the fun! Your reserved spot will also score you a cool sports jersey.
